Troy + Sam

There's nothing like a fresh, November day where the sun comes out.. and stays out. Spending the evening with Sam and Troy with the golden light was perfect. They have this simple, refreshing love between them. My FAVORITE outfit was the white on white crop top situation. So stunning! Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot.

Tony + Kara

I love this couple. It is so fun to make my job more of a "lifestyle" and not just work. I loved getting to know them over pFreim brewskis and letting the wind take us up an unknown path. I told Kara that I love that the weather is always different during various shoots and how it is the one thing we really can't control.. making it that much more magical.

I think we lucked out... this soft cloudy light made for some stellar moments caught on camera!! Looking forward to their wedding next September!

Colin + Kelsi

What a day. I knew that whatever ensued in the rural Adirondack mountains (upstate New York) would be an adventure... no matter what. I've loved getting to know the crazy, sweet, passionate, fantastic people that have been staying at the "llama house" here in town.

I'm so happy for these two. Here are some of my favorite shots from the night.

Victor + Kelly

I am so thankful for this couple. They came and kept me company at my family beach house all weekend! It was so much fun to build a fire, grab a Pelican beer, and just catch up. I think these two are a great fit and I'm so glad they trusted me with such a special shoot. Here are some of my favorites!

Austin + Destiny

Okay, so here's the story. On the WAY to the beach I get an anonymous text from the "boyfriend" of one of my beach shoots. He wanted to chat with me because he had a surprise for his girlfriend.

My heart instantly sank.

I knew exactly what his next text would be. He was going to propose on camera! We planned out the whole thing and I even changed the shoot time to sunset. Destiny had NO idea. It was a total surprise and it was one of the most precious moments of my entire photography career. Congrats, Austin + Destiny!

Ryan + Jessy

Wow! What a gorgeous October day. I didn't know days like this EXISTED stretching into Fall like this. This wedding felt like home to me. I loved the country music, the friendly people, the moody vibe of the decor, and the venue was TO DIE for. I really can't think of anything that wasn't ON point. The thing I loved most about it was that it was 100% stress free. Maybe it's just Jessy and the way she is, but she was the most chill/perfect bride. She made the day SO enjoyable and I had an amazing time doing what I love!

Salvador + Nicole

The Northwest does what the Northwest does: rains & pours! BUT. It wasn't going to stop this beautiful couple from ROCKING this boho chic NW wedding out at Adeline Farms. I have been excited to shoot this FOR an entire year and I am SO happy that everything came together the way that it did!

Congrats, you two! Here are a few of my favorites from 09/29/19!

Bryan + Amanda

It was pouring... and I mean POURING, but nothing was stopping this NW couple from making the long drive out to Trilium Lake for their engagement shoot! Troopers, for sure. These two were engaged at Multnomah Falls, so nature is a huge part of their story. The haze and fog above the trees gave such a cool effect. I think these two are a great fit for each other and I'm so excited to shoot their wedding next year!

Travis + Colleen

Okay, so.. yeah. When Colleen asked me to accompany them to Italy I was like... well, I have no job or money but... I'm going to make this happen if my life depends on it. That was in April. I had no clue what this trip actually had in store for me. I knew that it would be this pivotal moment for me, but I didn't know how much it would change me. I'm so much less afraid. I'm so much more sure of myself as an artist, person, photographer, and traveler- as a matter of fact. I feel like its so easy to get discouraged with the amount of competition, but I knew that if I somehow made this happen... it would change my life.

This month, I unintentionally went "full time photographer" and I literally felt the love POUR IN. I can't wait for what the next chapter brings. I know it is going to be hard, but I know it is going to be worth it. Thank you all for supporting me. Hope you enjoy this taste of Italy. And THANK YOU to Travis and Colleen for believing and trusting in me. xoxo Chels

Dale + Megan

Megan was always a kind hearted, sweetie when I was working at Tiffany’s. She has such a lovely presence and I feel very blessed that I got to spend some quality time with her there.

What a stunning wedding. I'm so fortunate that I was able to be apart of their special day. They have an amazing story and they are perfect for each other! Congrats!

Sal + Nicole

This past year has been full of growth for me... in virtually every area of my life. Personally, professionally, as an artist.. everything. I am constantly reminded that I have awesome people around me that support my dreams, even when I'm not sure what to do and how to achieve them. I am so BEYOND excited to shoot this couple's wedding. They wanted a very vintage-y feel and they've been awesome in letting me test it out. Even though I've done photography for 10 years... I feel like this year I'm starting from scratch, changing up my vibe, and finding myself somewhere in there. What do you think of this gorgeous couple?

Joseph + Amanda

Amanda was indeed my dress up buddy when I was young. I loved spinning around her house in these large frilly skirts and watching Disney movies until it was time to go home. I’ve always thought she was the absolute sweetest. When she asked me to make the trek to Ventura, California… I said “absolutely!”

What a gorgeous California wedding! It was so fun to see such a good childhood friend get married. Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Nick + Natasha

Let me paint the picture.

You wake up on your wedding day to a winter wonderland.. but wait, there’s more. It’s just enough of a dusting that the streets are covered in white, but not enough to put a kibosh on the ceremony, you know what I mean? This. day. was. priceless. Natasha is such a WonderWoman in every way. She’s a mother, a fighter, a lover, and a creative at heart. Nick is kind, gentle, loving, and such a great man to his friends and family.

Andrew + Cadie

What a dream January day. This couple has been through everything together and I'm so happy to finally see them tie the knot. How gorgeous was that fog? And no, I didn't edit in any blue... the fog behind them really was BLUE like that!

I’ve known Cadie since I was a little girl. She’s always been kind, zero drama, the kind of friend you want to have. When I met Andrew I had this overwhelming sense of calm… she found him, I thought. It really doesn’t matter what life throws at these two (which is a lot, I might add); they make it work and they make life amazing.
